Creating a Life Plan for the Third Age

A person who is in the third age should have already made a life plan for himself or herself in order to have a guide during the retirement phase of his or her life. First, we need to define what the third age means. The third age is a new term that is used for the period from the age of 55 onwards. This is usually the start of the retirement period for many individuals.

When creating a life plan for the third age, a person should consider how much he should have saved by this time in order to support his or her desired lifestyle. If the person wants to live comfortably during the third age without having to return to work, he or she should save enough to spend during the retirement years. The person should start to save as early as possible in order to have a large retirement next egg that could be spent during the third age.

However, if the person has determined that he or she might have not saved enough to support the same lifestyle until the third age, he or she must create a life plan that would minimize the unnecessary expenses. Even before the person goes into retirement, he or she should start practicing and adapting to the new lifestyle to prepare for his or her retirement. Even before the person begins with his or her retirement, he or she should have already decided where he or she would like to spend the retirement period. This will also help determine the type of life plan for the third age.
